 | Coming from a family of artists,
I knew no boundaries as a child. Showing and selling my work since I was fifteen,
I have been very prolific in order to find that work that defines me.
I have studied art at three universities, preferring to choose my instructor based on their work-taking lessons from professional
artists is where I picked up most of my real knowledge. As an adult, working in the art industry as an event coordinator, instructor and in management for local galleries,
studio time was limited. I now find myself painting and traveling, listening for the gentle call of the wind in the trees and the water on the rocks.
Knowing only that passion and curse that is to be an artist, I take with me the beauty of the world.
I have worked and studied to get to know only the properties of color and how they affect each other.
I have broken it down into the simplest pleasures of light and shadow. My home, on the edge of a cove off of Lake Travis, is my inspiration for the "Wet Paintings" series. Surrounded by water, it speaks to me daily of the goings on in the world.
That macrocosm inside the microcosm is where my attentions lie.
